Slow-going

I’ve been working on an album for literally years now. Covid put a big wrench in those plans obviously, and my friend Keith and I have been learning on the job as it pertains to getting good sounding recordings. We are in what I believe to be the final stages of recording, and I am working on some album art to accompany it. The problem with things going as slowly as they are is that its difficult to strike when the iron’s hot. It’s not so much a striking motion as it is a slow push, the way you’d punch in a nightmare. By the time contact has been made, the iron has cooled and the vision for the project has changed.

That said, we’ve learned a lot about the process and the final stages are progressing more quickly than the first half, that’s for sure. I’ve been going about this all backwards obviously but the next step is to find a band. Or, coerce some of the good people working on the album with me to do some live shows. Stay tuned!
